This 36-inch induction cooktop hides its controls until they're needed: the touch slider disappears into the black glass surface when the cooktop is off and lights up the moment it's turned on. Five cooking zones each offer nine power levels plus a booster, and a multi-zone function lets neighboring zones merge into one larger surface for a griddle or an oversized pot. In boost mode the cooktop can push out 3.0 kW, enough to bring a pot to a rolling boil quickly or get a pan hot enough for a proper sear, while the induction elements still hold a steady, gentle simmer when that's what a dish calls for.
